The Chanel Novelty Co. only produced jewelry with the Chanel script mark for one season in the spring of 1941.
When Coco Chanel sued them over the use of the Chanel name, the company's name was changed to Reinad Novelty Co.
Chanel Novelty Co. made only one collection in spring of 1941. Thus, there are a limited number of designs, and pieces signed "Chanel" in script are rare exciting vintage find! Reinad seems to have made jewelry for companies such as Boucher, Carnegie, Eisenberg using the same designs.
